Mohammad Rizwan is a Pakistani cricketer who played his first ODI for Pakistan on 17 April 2015 against Bangladesh. The beginning of his career was not so impressive. He dropped out of the Pakistan cricket team a few times.
But he kept doing good and remained positive under critical times. Now he is one of the most important batsmen in the Pakistani line-up. At the moment, on the list of ICC T20I batting rankings, Mohammad Rizwan is at number 3.
The biggest news about Mohammad Rizwan at that time in 2021 was that he was selected for the ICC T20 team of the year 2021. It was a proud moment for the star cricketer and the whole nation.
He holds the record to score the most runs in a calendar year in the T20 format. He made 1326 runs in 29 T20I matches (26 innings) with an average of 73.66 runs per match.
Mohammad Rizwan was born on 1 June 1992 in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His role in the Pakistan cricket team is opening the batting and wicketkeeping.

Mohammad Rizwan’s PSL career started back in 2016. So far he has played for three different franchises in the PSL League. The superstar’s PSL career is just like a dream come true. Currently, he is the captain of the team he is playing for.

- Karachi Kings (2018 – 2020)
- Multan Sultans (2021 – 2023)
The first team he played for was Lahore Qalandars. He was part of Qalandars from 2016-2017. After leaving Lahore, he joined Karachi Kings. From 2018-2020 he was part of Karachi Kings. Now he playing for Multan Sultans and also captaining his team. Under his captaincy, Multan won their first title in PSL 2021.
In PSL 7 and 8 Editions, Multan Sultan was runner-up in the Tournament under Rizwan’s captaincy, and both times they were defeated by Lahore Qalandars.

From 2016 to 2021, Rizwan’s batting performance in the PSL league is top-notch. He is not a big hitter of the ball but his ability to play the shorts in the gaps and all around the ground makes him a top-class batter in PSL.
So far, he has played 71 matches and scored 1996 runs. His batting average is 43.39, and his highest score is 110 not out. Rizwan has crossed 50 run mark 16 times in the PSL league, and his strike rate is 128.60. Mohammad Rizwan in his PSL career till 2023, hits 45 sixes and 183 boundaries.

As a wicketkeeper, Rizwan has dismissed the batsmen 74 times. He is at the top of the list of wicketkeepers in the PSL with 59 catches and 15 stumps.
Mohammad Rizwan’s Highest Partnerships in PSL
M. Rizwan made 100 plus runs partnerships in his PSL career and on both occasions, he was captain of Multan Sultans in the 6th edition of PSL i.e. 2021. On both occasions, his partner was Sohaib Maqsood.
His first highest partnership in his PSL career was 110 runs on 67 balls against Lahore Qalandars. His contribution in that partnership was 53 runs on 37 balls. He was declared player of the match award in that match as he played match-winning innings of 76 runs on 49 balls.
Then again Mohammad Rizwan made a century stand with Sohaib Maqsood and this time opposition was Peshawar Zalmi. This partnership was 116 runs on 76 balls. His contribution in this 100-plus runs partnership was 54 runs on 45 balls.

Mohammad Rizwas presented Multan Sultans in PSL 8 held in 2023. He was the captain of the side was the top runs-getter in PSL 8. He scored 550 runs in 12 matches with an average of 55.00 and his strike rate was 142.86 in this edition. He also smashed his first-ever century score in this PSL 8.
Multan Sultans was runner-up in PSL 8 under the captaincy of Muhammad Rizwan and was defeated by Lahore Qalandars.
He was selected in the Platinum category and he wase a key player to watch in Pakistan Super League 2023 from Multan Sultans.
