ICC T20 World Cup 2021
After 2016, the first ICC T20 World Cup is going to start in 2021 on October 17. As per schedule, the T20 World Cup 2020, had to be hosted by Australia but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, ICC has postponed this tournament. ICC T20 World Cup event for 2021 was scheduled to be hosted by India and ICC confirmed that India will host the tournament as per schedule.
But, after the worst condition of Covid-19 in India, ICC decided that matches will be played in UAE and Oman. Now UAE and Oman are the two host countries for the 7th edition of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. So, the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will start on 17th October and the final match will be played on the 14th of November.
If we look at the history of the T20 World Cup, then it was started back in 2007. India was the first team to lift the trophy in 2007 and they have won only 1 world cup. With them, Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka have also won the T20 world cup one time.
Whereas, West Indies is the only team that has won the T20 World Cup twice. They have won the tournament for the first time in 2012 and then again in 2016.

ICC T20 World Cup All Teams
There are 16 teams who are playing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. There are two rounds in the tournament before the knockout stage. 8 teams have qualified for the first round and they are divided into two groups.

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule
As we have mentioned earlier that the T20 World Cup 2021 is scheduled to start from the 17th of October to the 14th of November. So, here were are going to provide the complete details of scheduled matches and fixtures of the tournament.

Group 1 Schedule
The most important match of the super 12 round in Group 1 will be the match between England and Australia. with that, England vs West Indies match will also be important. Because both teams met each other for the last time in the final match of T20 World Cup 2016. You must have remembered the final over 4 sixes in a row.
Group 2 Schedule
Indian and Pakistan, both teams are in group 2 of the Super 12 round. So, the most important match of not only group 2 but of the whole T20 World Cup 2021 will be Pakistan vs India match. This match will be played on the 24th of October.
Both teams met in the final of the T20 World Cup 2007, the first edition of the T20 World Cup. India won that match by 5 runs.
Semi Finals and Final
Semi-final matches will be played on 10th and 11th November. 1st semi-final will be played between A1 and B2 while the second semi-final match will be played between A2 and B1.
The final match of the T20 World Cup 2021 will be played on 14th October in Dubai.
T20 World Cup 2021 Venues
We have mentioned earlier that Oman and UAE will host the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. There are 4 different venues for the tournament. Out of this 4 venus, 3 are in UAE while only one is in Oman.
There are a total of 45 matches in the T20 World Cup. These 45 matches are divided into 4 different venues as follows.
Here are the details:
- Oman Cricket Academy Ground: In Muscat, Oman, this venue will host only 6 matches of the entire T20 world cup 2021. All these 6 matches are of Group B of the first round.
- Dubai International Cricket Stadium: In Dubai, UAE, this venue will host a total of 13 matches of the ICC T20 world cup 2021. The final match of the tournament will also be hosted by the same ground. This stadium will host the most important match of the tournament, i.e the match between Pakistan and India.
- Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium: In Abu Dhabi, UAE, this venue will host a total of 15 matches of the tournament. It includes the first semi-final match as well.
- Sharjah Cricket Stadium: The Sharjah cricket stadium will host 11 matches out of 45 total matches.
