Kamran Akmal is a right-handed batsman & wicketkeeper and he represents Pakistan in 157 ODIs and 53 test matches. He also represented Pakistan’s national cricket team in 58 T20 international matches. Kamran Akmal was born in Lahore on 13 January 1982.
He played his first ODI and test match against Zimbabwe in November 2022. The right-handed batsman was known for his aggressive batting and brilliant wicket keeping.
In 2010 he was named as vice-captain of the Pakistan team but PCB removed him soon due to his spot-fixing scandal.
Umar Akmal and Adnan Akmal are brothers of Kamran, and they had represented Pakistan in ODIs and test matches. The current captain of the Pakistan cricket team ‘Babar Azam‘ is the first cousin of Kamran Akmal.

In PSL 2022, Kamran Akmal was picked in the silver category by his team. He was disappointed with this decision from his team and decided not to play in the upcoming PSL edition. But after a meeting with the franchise’s coach and director, Kamran has decided to review his decision.
According to the latest update, Kamran Akmal will be part of the Pakistan Super League 2022 and he will represent Peshawar Zalmi.

Kamran Akmal holds the record of most sixes in PSL by a single player. Till the PSL 2021, he hits 84 sixes and 197 boundaries.
Kamran Akmal was the player of the series in PSL 2017. He scored 353 runs in the tournament and played a vital role in making his team champion.
The final of PSL 2017 was played in Lahore between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators. Kamran was the top scorer in the final. He scored 40 runs on just 32 balls with a strike rate of 125.00.
Kamran Akmal also holds the record of playing most matches in PSL. So overall, he is one of the best players of the Pakistan Super League.

Kamran Akmal’s Career as Wicketkeeper
If we look at Kamran Akmal’s PSL career as a wicketkeeper, he has a brilliant record as a wicketkeeper as well. He holds the record of maximum dismissals as a wicketkeeper.
As a wicketkeeper, Kamran Akmal dismissed 60 players in his 69 matches. He took 51 catches and thus also holds the record of maximum catches in the Pakistan Super League.
