(Lahore — May 24) The star player of Multan Sultan, Shahid Khan Afridi will not be able to participate in the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League.
The 6th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 6) will resume from June 1 and will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Most of the players started their practice for the tournament and Shahid Afridi is no exception.
Unfortunately, due to hard practice, the star player felt lower back pain during the practice session and for this, he had to consult the doctor. After proper examination, the doctors advised him to take complete rest and not to participate in the tournament.
Based on the doctor’s advice, Shahid Afridi decided to take a rest and he will neither do any practice nor he will play for his team Multan Sultan for the remainder of the HBL PSL 6.

Shahid Afridi uses his official Twitter account to announce this unfortunate news. On his account, he tweeted about his lower back pain and he said that he is heartbroken.
Afridi said that he was trying very hard for the tournament during the practice session but now it is not possible to participate.
He further added that he will keep supporting his team and he wishes that his team Multan Sultan would lift the trophy this time.
Remember, Multan Sultan is at number 5 on the points table of PSL 2021 as they managed to win only 1 match out of the 5 matches they played in the tournament.
