Shaheen Shah Afridi is a Pakistani professional cricketer who was born on 6 April 2000 in Landi Kotal, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The 23 years old young fast bowler has had a very successful international and PSL career so far in all formats of cricket.
Shaheen Afridi played his first T20 international for Pakistan on 3 April 2018 against West Indies. On 21 September 2018 against Afghanistan, he played his first ODI for Pakistan, and on 3 December 2018 against New Zealand, he got his test cap.
After performing in PSL 2018, he was included in the Pakistan cricket team. The first year of Shaheen Shah Afridi’s PSL career was so good that he was picked up by the national team.

Shaheen Shah Afridi’s PSL career started when he was picked by Lahore Qalandars in the third edition of the Pakistan Super League in 2018. Now, he is the most successful bowler for Lahore Qalandars and also the most successful captain of the PSL.
Shaheen Shah Afridi is the only captain who has won the title for his team 3 times. No other PSL captain has even won two trophies. Lahore Qalandars have won the titles of 2022, 2023, and 2025 in PSL under his captaincy. He also won the Fazal Mahmood Cap and took 19 wickets in 13 matches.

Shaheen Afridi PSL X (2025)
In PSL 2025, Shaheen Shah Afridi lead the Lahore Qalandars team. He said that ‘Wasim Akram’ is his favorite bowler, and he wants to be like him. He led the Qalandars to its 3rd title win in PSL X (2025) on 25th May.
He took 19 wickets in 13 matches in the last PSL in 2025 and was the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He became the only captain who won the PSL trophy for 3 times and he won the Fazal Mahmood Cap as well for being the most wicket taking bowler in PSL X.
The great all-rounder of Pakistan, Boom Boom Afridi, is the father-in-law of Shaheen Afridi. In an interview, Shahid Afridi said that he advised Shaheen not to accept the captaincy of Lahore Qalandars, but he didn’t follow my advice.
In a match when Shaheen Afridi clean bowled Shahid Afridi, he didn’t celebrate that wicket to show respect for Lala (Shahid Afridi).
