Pakistan Won 1st T20I Match Against Zimbabwe, Babar Azam Player of the Match

Pakistan has won the 1st T20I match in Rawalpindi against Zimbabwe. Pakistan has won this match convincingly with 6 wickets in hand. Babar Azam declared player of the match as he made 82 runs on 52 balls with 1 six and 9 fours.

In this 1st T20I D/N match, the captain of Zimbabwe, CJ Chibhabha won the toss and decided to bat first. In the limited 20 overs, they made 156 runs and lost their 6 wickets.

The captain of the Zimbabwean team gone in the first over on a duck. Against the new but good bowling attack of Pakistan, Zimbabwe performed well and with the help of 9 fours and 1 six, W Madhevere made unbeaten 70 runs on 48 balls.

Haris Rauf and Wahab Riaz get 2 wickets each in their 4 overs while the debutant Usman Qadir and Mohammad Hasnain dismissed one player each and restricted Zimbabwe to 156 runs.

Pakistan started their batting to chase an average score of 156 and Fakhar Zaman was gone on the last ball of the 4th over. He made 19 runs on 12 balls with 1 six and 2 fours. Haider Ali lost his wicket in the 8th over when the total score was 62.

1st T20I Match

At this stage the captain Babar Azam and the most senior player from the Pakistan side, Muhammad Hafeez bat well. Babar Azam lost his wicket in the 17th over after making a brilliant 82 runs knock. He hit 1 six and 9 fours and consumed 55 balls. The total score of the team at that stage was 142-3.

Then in the 19th over Muhammad Hafeez lost his wicket when the score was level. He made 36 runs on 32 balls and hit a six as well while Pakistan makes the winning run on the 5th ball of the 19th over.

Pakistan won this 1st T20I match against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi. The captain Babar Azam declared as the player of the match because of his brilliant 82 runs inning. Babar will play for Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League.

B Muzarabani from Zimbabwe takes two wickets in the match. Pakistan now takes the 1-0 lead against Zimbabwe in the 3 match series.
